How To: Vintage Mint and Coral Centerpieces

I found these vintage glass bottles and immediately knew I wanted to add to them. I used two types of ribbon and charms for mine, but you can use one type of ribbon and no charms if you would like. Here is what I did to make turn the plain glass bottles into beautiful centerpieces.

Supplies you will need:

  • Vintage glass bottles
  • Ribbon of your choice
  • Mod podge mixture (1/2 Elmers glue and 1/2 water)
  • Bowl for mod podge
  • Scissors
  • Charms are optional

The steps to take:

  • Cut the pieces of ribbon long enough to overlap a little when it is wrapped around the bottle.

  • Run the ribbon through the mod podge mixture.

  • Lay one end of the ribbon on the bottle while holding the bottle in the horizontal position. Next rotate the bottle away from you.

  • Once the whole ribbon is stuck to the bottle, set the bottle down in the vertical position and make sure your ribbon is straight. If any excess mod podge is running down the glass you can gently wipe it off with a paper towel.

  • If using two types of ribbons repeat steps one through four for your secondary ribbon.

I slightly overlapped the coral ribbon onto the mint ribbon

  • Let the glue dry for several hours

  • After the ribbon has set you can add charms with a little bit of super glue.

Now go make your own version of this beautiful centerpiece!

Our Painted Reclaimed Furniture

Hey everyone! We want to take this chance to share our painted reclaimed furniture that we have listed on Etsy with all of yall.  The top two dining tables are made out of antique shop tables that we were able to bring back to life and make beautiful. The bottom two living room pieces we sanded down and painted to give them that great shabby cottage look.
Enjoy!

Valentines Day Gifts That Men Give Women

Valentines Day Gifts That Men Give Women

I found this top ten list at www.askmen.com and think that most of them are pretty cliche. I would in no way suggest that a man randomly pick from this list to buy a Valentines gift.

10. Flowers, traditionally roses
 9. Home cooked meal
 8. Lingerie
 7. A mix CD
 6. Jewelry
 5. Chocolate in a heart shaped box
 4. Horse and buggy ride
 3. Love letter
 2. Hotel stay
 1. Romantic dinner out

Men, don't just run to the nearest store and grab expensive flowers and candy for your loved one. We don't want trashy lingerie and a burnt dinner that your attempting for the first time. Instead, get her something that you put some thought into, something personalized to what she loves. We want to know that you really paid attention. Maybe what she really needs is a quiet night without the kids, and responsiblities of being a mom. Maybe she wants you to remind her of how yall were when yall first started dating, before the kids. Or if you don't have any kids maybe she just wants some quality one on one time with you and no distractions. And some women are waiting for the big gesture on Valentines day, the ring. No matter what you end up giving your loved one just make sure that they know how much you love them.
